All personalised gifts are, naturally, made to order, therefore, it is very important that all details are correct at the time of purchase. This guide is designed to make the whole process quick and easy. It is important when purchasing personalised gifts that you double check spelling, capitalisation, grammar, and punctuation, as everything you type will be replicated IDENTICALLY. Please note, that all personalised gifts require 2-3 days for production in addition to the delivery timing, so, please ensure you allow plenty of time for your gift to be made, then dispatched. During holidays and busy periods, like Christmas, production lead times can be further extended.
Personalised Newspaper Books – We have a varied selection of personalised newspaper books. They cover a wide range of subjects, from history to sport, cookery to famous people. The personalisation options vary from each theme. The guide below covers all the options, some will not be relevant to your selections, but we hope the guidelines will help to make your purchase run smoothly.
BOOK CHOICE – Where relevant, you will see a drop-down box offering a selection of clubs/ countries etc to choose from. Please select carefully the one you require.
DATES – Some of our newspaper books require a relevant date to be input, for example the Birthdate and Year Addition Newspaper Book. Enter the DAY, for example 18th, Enter the MONTH, for example April and enter the YEAR, for example 2000.
Similarly, some of our newspaper books require a decade to be selected. For example, the Recipes and Cooking Ideas Newspaper Books. Please select your relevant decade from the drop-down box.
COVER STYLE – Some of our newspaper books come with a choice of cover colour for your book. In some case, an additional charge may be applied for different cover choices. Please select you cover style choice, where applicable, from the drop-down box (any additional cost will be shown in the options).
FRONT COVER EMBOSSING – Many of our newspaper books offer personalisation of the front cover with gold embossing. For some of our products this is at an additional cost. If this is available as an option for your book, you will see a drop-down box. Please select your choice.
EMBOSSED NAME – If your book includes personalised embossing on the front cover (or you select it as an additional extra) you will need to write the name you require to appear on the front cover. You are usually limited to 22 characters maximum. We are also limited to which symbols we support, these include, ÂÁÉÍÓÚÜÑ ?;:,.!-& âáéíóúüñ1234567890'<>”@. We kindly remind you to double check spelling and capitalisation.
LABEL NAME – This is the name that will appear on the opening page. Again, it is limited to 22 characters maximum and the same above symbols are the only ones that can be supported. Please check your spelling and capitalisation. We will print EXACTLY as it is written.
PERSONALISED MESSAGE – The majority of our newspaper books have 5 rows of 30 characters available for you to write a personal message. This is a great opportunity for you to add a special thought or touch to your gift, something truly unique. Bearing in mind we only support a selection of symbols, please ensure you double check spelling, punctuation, grammar, and capitalisation carefully before you finalise your sale. We will copy your text EXACTLY as it is written. Occasionally you will be limited to less characters, but each product has full details outlined on their page.
GIFT BOX – Some of our newspaper books, for example, Queen Elizabeth II newspaper pictorial book, come automatically with a free gift box, this will be stated in the product details. Alternatively, some of our newspaper books have the option to select whether you would like your gift to be presented in a gift box. If this is available for your product, there will be a drop-down box on the page for you to select (there is an additional cost, price shown in the drop-down).
Personalised Books
Ladybird, Enid Blyton and Disney Books – These wonderful books, designed for adults and children, feature personalisation throughout. The length of name is usually limited to 12 characters. Please double check your spelling. We are also limited to which symbols we support, these include, ÂÁÉÍÓÚÜÑ ?;:,.!-& âáéíóúüñ1234567890'<>”@
There is also an option to add a message to your book. This will be printed on the inside cover pages. Message 1 and 2, are usually limited to 40 characters respectively. Again, please ensure you double check all spelling and punctuation as we will copy EXACTLY what has been written at time of purchase.
The Enid Blyton books have the additional option of choosing whether you would like a gift box, at an additional cost, via a drop-down box, please select your choice.
Classic Novels – The first option is to decide between a softback or hardback book. Select your choice from the drop-down box.
You can then personalise a selection of characters from the book (for example, the recipient could be the main protagonist, whilst family and friends could take on the other roles). Maximum number of printed characters for each name is 12. Please note, we cannot support symbols and accents in these books. Everything will be printed as you have written it, so please double check the spelling and capitalisation.
A personal message can also be included in the printing of this book. The message will be split between two lines, each 40 characters in length. Again, please double check the spelling, capitalisation, and punctuation. Whatever you decide to write will be copied identically and put into print!
Other Special Books –
The Beano Annual – one of our best sellers! What self-respecting Beano fan wouldn’t love an annual from a special year to them (perhaps to mark a special birthday or anniversary).
When you purchase, you’ll need to select the relevant year for your annual, any year from and including 1940 -2013.
Option 2, you need to write the name of the person the book is dedicated to, maximum 22 characters. Please check spelling and capitalisation!

Finally, you have the option to select whether you would like a lovely gift box, at an additional cost, from the drop-down box.
Mega Dad Comic Book – For your personal superhero Dad!
The first thing you need to do is choose the skin tone and whether you’d like a softback or hardback (at an additional cost) book from the drop-down options.
In Option 2, you need to enter the child’s name, i.e. whoever is giving the book to their dad. You are limited to 12 characters, please double check spelling and Capitalisation.
The next step is to write a message. You have two boxes, allowing 40 characters each, for you to write something special. Please double check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalisation fully before completing your purchase. We print exactly as you have written. Finally, select from the drop-down box whether you would like a gift box or not, there is a small additional cost if you chose yes.
Music Quiz Books – For all music buffs our music decade books are a must!
Option 1 – Enter the Name of the recipient – this will be embossed on the front cover and is limited to 12 characters.
Option 2 and 3 – Enter a personal message, each option is limited to 40 characters respectively. Please double check spelling, capitalisation, punctuation, and grammar, we will print EXACTLY as it is written.
Option 4 – Select whether you would like a gift box (at an additional cost) from the drop-down box.
Personalised Retro Sweets
The personalised retro sweets are a delicious way to show the ones you love that you care. All our personalised sweets, naturally, request a NAME to be entered. This is usually limited to 12 characters, though this can vary with each product. The maximum number of characters will be stated on each product. Please double check the spelling and remember ‘characters’, includes symbols. For example, Ruby-Anne, is 9 characters. The name will be printed as you write it, including capital letters.
Some of our personalised sweet gifts also offer the opportunity to write a gift message. For example, the Great British Sweet Hamper. Again, the number of permitted characters will be limited, and the text will be replicated identically to how you write it, so please double check everything!
Branded Alcohol Gifts – Some of us are partial to certain brands of alcohol. Whether it’s Bombay Sapphire Gin, Jack Daniels, Smirnoff Vodka, Tattinger Champagne or Jameson Irish whiskey, to name but a few. We offer these with an original newspaper from your chosen date (if this is no longer available an alternative date will be offered).

Next enter the name of the person receiving the gift. This will show on the gift card that comes with the product. You are limited to 22 characters, please check the spelling and Capitalisation.
Finally, please write the message you would like to add to your gift. You are limited to 500 characters and need to double check your spelling, capitalisation, grammar and punctuation as we will print it EXACTLY as you have requested.
Personalised Alcohol Gifts – A unique gift for him or her. Their favourite tipple, for example Prosecco or Whiskey with their name and selected year printed on the bottle! These come with newspapers, or in some cases, are available with chocolates instead.
For those gifts that come with a newspaper, we need to find out the date of the paper you want (if this is no longer available an alternative date will be offered).
Please enter the DAY, for example 18th, the MONTH, for example April, and the YEAR, for example 2000 for the newspaper you require.
Next, we need the name you want printed on the bottle, up to 25 characters. Please double check spelling!
